Steven Simmons is responsible for conducting applied research and related activities to engage food companies through a process of “scale up” from laboratory studies to pilot plant and industry scale. He also provides instruction in the short courses offered by FIC for food industry personnel. Steven received his B.A. and M.S. from the Department of Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University. Upon completion of his M.S., and prior to joining the FIC Team, Steven worked as a Quality Assurance Manager in the fresh and fresh-cut produce industry.
